Before date of completion ....

For those who already bought a HDB flat, a condo, or even a semi-d house, is the amount you are about to get really alot???

Do you have the feeling it ought to be more so you can go on a long vacation on top of getting a house???

Do you have the feeling it ought to be more so you can buy the car of your dream instead of a simple car???

Do you have the feeling it ought to be more so you can pay for somebody's medical fee or even donate to a charity???

Restricted amount??? Feeling tight??? Gotta consciously know how you spend and be extra careful as you do not have enough to hold a party.

So where is freedom???

well - i bought my property 2 years ago - and i do have some to spare. Like i always said, if we did not have to waitfor the interminable court cases, we would have been far better off.

The grains have been cooked into rice and yet you are still trying to find words to frustrate yourself. You should have stormed into the STB's office earlier and started banging tables before the approval.
If you are looking for freedom now, I advise you to go join the "Yellow Shirts" You know what I meant.

Before date of completion, can you do something to unwind the en bloc sale? Action speaks louder than words. Or else I will nominate you to be the next President of NATO, No Action Talk Only.

All things, whether good or bad, will come to an end.
The same goes for Minton Rise. It gave us joy, peace and a place to live and relax.
It is growing old, and so are we, and it has to go.
Now is the time for its residents to prepare to move.
We cannot expect to sell this place for so much and get a new place for the same price.
Everything comes with a price.
A new house will have to be smaller with the en bloc price we get.
But if we want a place of the same size, then we must be prepared to pay.
Let's try to find a new house with similar or even better environment.
Many moons ago, when I first moved in, I saw old people walking pass as they took their evening stroll.
Now they are no longer around.
Some of us are taking over their place, strolling around the estate.
Soon Minton will be no more.
The same fate awaits us mortals.
So, don't worry, be happy.

And so the horizon tower en bloc has fallen through.

I wonder the same fate would have befallen minton rise if the minorities had been more persistent?
